Senior Communities Officer (CLD) - Lochside Community Centre - SOA12993

JOB DESCRIPTION

This role is responsible for leading and coordinating the community-based and in-school youth work provision across the Ayr Locality Team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, engaging, and impactful opportunities for young people. The postholder will work collaboratively with schools, community partners, and local stakeholders to develop and deliver programmes that support young people's personal, social, and educational development.

In addition, the role will play a key part in supporting detached and diversionary youth work activities, engaging with young people in community settings and providing positive alternatives that promote wellbeing, inclusion, and community safety. As these services are delivered during peak periods of youth engagement, the successful candidate will be required to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of young people and local communities. This will involve building positive relationships, responding to emerging issues, and ensuring that youth work provision remains accessible, relevant, and responsive across the locality.
