What we do: Provide a professional valuation and electoral registration service for both North and South Lanarkshire council areas in respect of the compilation of the Valuation Rolls, Valuation (Council Tax) List and Register of Electors.
Our vision: To deliver quality in the work which we undertake, provide efficient services to all service users, and ensure completeness and accuracy of the Electoral Register, Valuation Rolls and the Valuation (Council Tax) Lists.
Who are we looking for: A trainee technician or technician who will assist valuation staff in the survey and inspection of properties, which will involve site visits. Other duties will include sketching and drawing floor plans, the calculation of areas and the maintenance of all property files. The role will progress to carrying out valuations for both Council Tax and Non-Domestic rates.
You may be required to undertake relevant training, through day release and on the job training through mentoring and shadowing to qualify as a technician.
A full UK driving licence and use of a car for business purposes, or the ability to drive a pool car for business purposes, is desirable for this role.
The postholder will have a positive, professional and responsible attitude and the ability to work under pressure while ensuring strict deadlines are achieved. You will have the ability to work as part of a team or individually.
