Location: Council Offices, Almada Street, Hamilton, ML3 0AA

Hours: 35 hours per week

Work Pattern: Monday - Thursday 8:45am - 4:45pm and Friday 8:45am - 4:15pm

Salary: £52,392 - £53,177 annual salary
 

South Lanarkshire Council are looking to appoint a Senior Building Standards Surveyor. Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates who ideally, but not necessarily, have experience of working within a Building Standards environment. 

You will be based in the Council HQ in Hamilton and assist/deputise for the Team Leader in carrying out the non-verification enforcement duties of Building Standards in relation to unauthorised works and dangerous buildings. Applications are therefore invited from a range of building professionals, including architects, engineers, surveyors etc.

You must have excellent communication skills, be highly organised and have the passion and experience to deliver results. You will ensure continuous improvement and efficiency, a positive and flexible organisational culture and promote an innovative and collaborative way of working and a partnership approach to service delivery.
