Hours: 35 hours per week (5/7 this involves Saturday working on rota basis there could also be occasional Sunday working)

South Lanarkshire Council's Licensing and Registration Section which holds the Customer Service Excellence Awards has numerous offices located throughout its area seek to recruit a Licensing and Registration assistant to undertake clerical and administrative duties associated with the Service.
Can you rise to the challenge of working within a demanding, fast paced environment? The role is varied, you will register births, deaths and marriages and conduct civil ceremonies therefore you must be able to display a customer focused approach that matches service delivery. You will also be responsible for processing licensing applications across a variety of services, including taxis, gaming and liquor licenses.
Your communication style will need to vary depending on the aspect of the role that you are delivering; therefore you will need to demonstrate practical examples of how your communication style varies according to the type of customer that you are dealing with.
We require candidates to display a commitment to learning and enhancing their understanding and commitment to the role. The ability to work to tight deadlines, together with problem solving, team working and first class communication skills are essential. You will enjoy working in a diverse environment and have a flexible attitude to change.
It is essential that you are flexible as the role will involve weekend working on a rota basis. Candidates may have to cover various locations across South Lanarkshire.
