An exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced individuals to join the Refugee Resettlement Programme Team.

As a Team Leader for Refugee Resettlement Support you will be responsible for delivering a wide range of services, directly and supporting the team in delivering support to Refugees who have arrived in South Lanarkshire through a number of resettlement routes on a permanent/temporary basis. 

Ideally you should have similar experience of providing resettlement services to clients in vulnerable or distressing situations and possession of a relevant qualification in Housing, Social Care or equivalent is desirable. 

You will be required to work on a multi-agency basis to support staff in developing individual support plans therefore, you should possess excellent communication skills, have an understanding of current issues and legislation in relation to Refugees, the protection of children and vulnerable adults and have a practical working knowledge of housing support and care standards.

You should be able to demonstrate practical knowledge of a variety of IT packages and have the ability to organise and prioritise workload, your own and that of others, in an effective way and to respond and adapt to changing priorities required in delivering a quality service. 

The Council is committed to maintaining the skills and competence of our housing support staff staff.  As part of your duties, you will be required to undertake further training and/or qualifications, including those introduced by the Scottish Social Services Council for employees working in the housing support sector.
