As part of our ongoing commitment to enhancing the support we provide, we are delighted to be recruiting two Housing Officers to join our Central Homelessness Team. These new roles will play a key part in strengthening our Homelessness Prevention work, with a particular focus on helping households access and sustain accommodation within the private rented sector.

In this dynamic and people‑centred role, you will:

  • Provide tailored advice and assistance to households exploring private rented sector options
  • Build strong, productive relationships with private landlords and letting agents to improve access and understanding of the sector
  • Support households to maintain and sustain existing private rented tenancies
  • Deliver detailed housing options guidance to help prevent homelessness wherever possible

You may also contribute to quality assurance checks, support wider prevention initiatives such as SHORE, and take part in monthly statistical reporting, including analysing trends to inform service improvements.

These are innovative and forward‑thinking posts, ideal for individuals with the drive, enthusiasm, and creativity to help shape and enhance our prevention activities. If you are passionate about making a meaningful difference and want to be part of a team committed to improving outcomes for people across South Lanarkshire, we would love to hear from you.
