Work Pattern: Monday - Thursday 8am - 4.30pm, Friday 8am - 1.30pm

South Lanarkshire Council requires experienced Heating Engineers to support the delivery of industrial heating works within Building Services.
You will have a flexible approach to the day to day running of the Industrial Heating Section and will assist in the delivery of Industrial heating works including servicing, installation and planned maintenance of commercial mechanical and hot water systems across a wide range of non-housing property types including Schools, Corporate Offices, Leisure Centre’s etc.
You will be time-served with trade qualifications within your relevant discipline and be able to demonstrate sound technical competencies in identifying and rectifying faults to ensure systems remain operational and compliant.
You should be able to display a sound knowledge of the Industrial Heating industry including the repair and maintenance of commercial heating systems.
A pre-requisite of this role is that you must possess current commercial or domestic gas qualifications and be willing to undertake training to complete and additional gas qualification we require. The minimum essential qualifications you will be required to work towards or already hold are COCN1, ICPN1, TPCP1 & 1a.
You should demonstrate a commitment to the principals of customer care, while displaying excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to demonstrate previous experience of working to targets and pre-determined timescales along with an awareness of health and safety in the workplace.
