We are seeking a Self-Directed Support (SDS) Finance Officer to play a pivotal role within the Social Work SDS Finance Team, a specialist team covering operations and finance. In this position, you will manage and oversee all finance and business functions related to Self-Directed Support, including Direct Payment monitoring/reviews and aged debt management and debt recovery.
We are looking for someone who is a confident leader with proven experience in managing staff and workloads, skilled in finance, analysis, and organisational systems, with strong attention to detail. You will be an excellent communicator, able to build positive relationships with colleagues, supported persons and external partners. You must have experience in working directly with the public and managing complex priorities independently.
Given the nature of this role, it is essential that you have a sound understanding of the health and social care sector, particularly in relation to Self-Directed Support and Direct Payments.
