Various shift patterns are available, examples are: 30 hrs night shift or 30 hrs day shift and back shift.

You will be required to work in accordance with a roster shift pattern.

The grade for these posts is Grade 2 level 3 - £17.72 to £18.21 per hour. Pay award as from April 2026 will be £18.34 - £18.85 per hour.

As this is a shift working post, you will receive an additional 1, 2 or 4 increment (depending on your shift pattern) and this will be consolidated into your salary. 

This role will require flexible evening and weekend working. For all shifts, the morning shift can start between 7am and 8am, and backshift can end between 9pm and 11pm.  The night shift posts can start between 9pm and 10pm and end between 6am and 8am

Requirements

You must have SVQ Level 2 in Social Care, or equivalent, to fully meet SSSC registration requirements of the post. You must provide proof of your qualifications when applying for this post as part of your application.  Your qualification evidence should be attached to your application in the “Supported Documents” and URL section.

You will be required to demonstrate your ability to work at SVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care as a minimum standard and be willing to work towards achieving this qualification if you do not already hold this qualification/equivalent or greater.
