An exciting opportunity has arisen to join, or to further develop your career, within the innovative South Lanarkshire Health and Social Care Performance and Support Services team.  We are looking to recruit an Administration Officer to provide an efficient and effective, comprehensive administration support service to the Headquarters locality, including planning, monitoring, and controlling workflow within the teams and deploying resources to meet service objectives.

As an Administration Officer, you will be responsible for the direct line management of a team and will deliver a diverse range of services consisting of:

  • Supervise staff including staff workload, Performance Appraisal, Maximising Attendance and provide training and development opportunities to maximise resources to meet the demands of the service.

  • Administer the processing of information/correspondence to communicate and present information in a clear and concise manner, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

  • Administer the provision of the Centralised Mobile Equipment Team, ensuring refresh and deployment of resources throughout the service.

  • Oversee the administrative function of the Social Work Case Management System.

  • Oversee the provision of support services including minute taking, diary management etc to Service Managers within the Health and Social Care Partnership.

  • Oversee the provision of centralised tasks from an HQ perspective, such as templates/Criticom. 

  • Deal with highly sensitive and confidential information.

The successful applicant should possess:

  • excellent oral and written communication skills

  • excellent IT skills

  • a flexible approach to manage the competing deadlines and fast-moving pace of the role

  • the ability to be adaptable and reactive to ensure all duties are carried out to a high standard, to ensure effective service delivery is maintained.
