South Lanarkshire Justice Social Work are recruiting for an Operations Manager to join our management team.   This opportunity comes at an exciting time for Justice Services as we embark on implementing our service re-design, including a range of innovative practices through our Recovery Orientated Justice team, restorative justice initiatives and supporting those with lived experience of justice systems to be part of our workforce. This is a re-advertisement and previous applicants need not apply.

As an Operations Manager you will be responsible for the management and delivery of statutory justice services and programme delivery including Throughcare from prison; Caledonian Systems and the Specialist Assessment and Intervention Team (SAIT) which delivers the MFMC programme.  We are particularly interested to have applications from people who have a strong background in MAPPA and the management of those that pose a risk of serious harm, to support our vision to create a dedicated MAPPA/MAPP’s team over the next 18 months. The roles will require supervision and line management of Team Leaders and Senior Practitioners within the teams you manage.

Duties include ensuring Justice Services provide high quality services reflecting social work values and council policy and in accordance with National Standards, Statutory requirements and legislation. The post has a focus on driving forward our commitment to performance management, quality assurance and self evaluation. We welcome applicants who have had management experience in Justice Social Work and interested in advancing their career and taking a key role in implementing our Justice Service Re-design.

South Lanarkshire Council require all new staff at Social Work level and above to undertake ViSOR vetting. The vetting allows staff to access the Home Office System that both Police and Social Work record information pertaining the management of registered sex offenders.  South Lanarkshire Justice Services are committed to the use of ViSOR and its role in public protection.
