Biggar Golf Course, Broughton Road, Biggar

Hours: 29 average hours per week

Duration: Seasonal until 4 and 6 October 2024

South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture are looking for motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join their team of Golf Course Starters.

The successful candidate will contribute to the smooth and efficient operation of Outdoor Recreation facilities including Golf Courses.

The principal duties will include working with a computerised booking system, dealing with customer enquiries and promoting membership options and sales of retail goods.

Knowledge of golf and experience of the above would be advantageous but full training will be given.

Responsibilities

To promote the sale of retail goods to maintain, where necessary, effective stock control and storage procedure

To be responsible for opening, closing and securing of the building while maintaining the housekeeping standards, including cleaning duties to the required level

To promote membership options to all existing and potential members

To ensure the efficient administration and control of the golf course booking system and deal with customer enquiries providing assistance and information in line with SLLC customer care standards

To deal with all aspects of cash handling and reconciliation, issuing receipts and preparation of monies for banking in accordance with SLLC procedures
