South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture are looking for a Library Team Leader who has passion for and experience of delivering high quality services to customers, an understanding of people management and a creative approach to service delivery to join the team at St. Leonard's Library, East Kilbride.

As a Library Team Leader you will be supported by the management team in delivering library services. The successful candidate will be expected to advise and support a team of front line staff in the day to day delivery of library services. This will included stock, IT services, customer enquiries and developing an exciting programme of events and activities.

The successful candidate should be a good communicator and problem solver, be able to support a team and help to build strong links with the community and relationships with volunteers. Please note a degree of flexibility will be expected and you may be required to work at other locations as appropriate and be available for weekends, evenings if required.

Must hold ECDL or equivalent . Recent library or supervisory experience essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervise the delivery of Front-Line library services, including Active IT to customers in line with SLLC Policies and Library Service Plans.

Supervise, support, and develop a team of Library Employees.

Supervise financial transactions, ensuring compliance with SLLC financial regulations.

Contribute to Library Service quality initiatives.
