Location: John Wright Sports Centre, Calderwood Road, East Kilbride

Hours: 35 hours

Work Pattern: Monday 12pm-8pm, Tuesday/Wednesday 7am-3pm, Thursday 7am-2pm, 7am-1:30pm (30 minute unpaid break)

Salary/Hourly Rate: £29,326-£29,745 per year

Duration: Fixed Term until 30th June 2027

South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team at John Wright Sports Centre as a Health and Fitness Assistant within the Sport and Physical Activity team.

We are looking for a highly enthusiastic and experienced team member to use their vast knowledge of health, fitness and exercise to support the hardest to reach individuals in our communities on their health and fitness journey. You’ll support them by using motivational interview techniques, goal setting, and offering social prescribing opportunities to help them find the best ways to achieve them.

As a member of the gym team you’ll be flexible and hard working to juggle the above along with delivering Perfect Fit appointments to new members and support existing members, all while ensuring a spotlessly clean gym that guarantees customers wish to return time and time again.

A relevant level 3 qualification or equivalent is essential. Further health and fitness qualifications are desirable.
