Work Pattern: Monday to Thursday 8:45am - 4:45pm (1 hour unpaid break), Fri 8:45am - 4:15pm (30 mins unpaid break)

South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture (SLLC) is seeking a highly organised and professional CEO Secretary to provide vital secretarial and administrative support to the Chief Executive and Heads of Service. This is a key role within our Leadership Team Support Service, requiring discretion, initiative, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage diaries, meetings, travel, and hospitality arrangements for senior leaders.
  • Prepare and circulate reports, correspondence, and documentation.
  • Liaise with elected members, board members, council departments, and external agencies.
  • Maintain confidential records and databases.
  • Supervise other secretarial staff and delegate tasks effectively.

About You:

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Is proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
  • Has experience in minute taking, diary management, and supporting virtual/in-person meetings.
  • Demonstrates excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Can manage competing priorities and maintain confidentiality.
  • Is flexible, resilient, and confident under pressure.
  • Has strong interpersonal and communication skills.

A relevant qualification (e.g., HNC/HND in Business Administration) and knowledge of SLLC’s governance structure are desirable.

Hybrid Working: This post operates on a hybrid working basis, combining office-based and home working. The successful candidate will be expected to attend the office on designated days, with the flexibility to work remotely for the remainder of the week.
