An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and committed individual to join a successful and dynamic Bannockburn High School team on a permanent basis from 10 August 2026.
We are seeking a versatile educator to deliver a variety of science qualifications, including L5 Skills for Work (Laboratory Science/Health Sector) and L6 NPA Scientific Technologies. A key part of our BGE curriculum is our STEM Academy; therefore, candidates with experience in school-wide STEM initiatives are highly encouraged to apply. While not essential, a dual qualification in another science discipline (such as Physics) would be a significant advantage.
Should you wish any additional information in relation to the post, please contact Jayne Hamilton Curricular Leader Science and Technologies using hamiltonj02s@glow.sch.uk
Please note that although the application process allows the uploading of a CV (resume), this is not a requirement for teaching posts and if submitted will not be taken into account during shortlisting to ensure a consistent approach for assessing all candidates. You should instead fully answer the question section with all relevant experience and skills.
The successful candidate will be required to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG) for Children. If your application is progressed after the interview, you will be asked to complete the form and have your details verified.
If you’ve got the right skills for the job we want to hear from you. We encourage applications from the right candidates regardless of age (restrictions apply to Modern Apprenticeships), disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, belief or race.
