Job Description

As this post is part-time the salary will be pro-rata to the hours worked.

This 20 hour post will be worked on a Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

About the Role

We’re looking for a compassionate, organised, and proactive Care at Home Co‑ordinator to join our Sheltered Housing team. This is a rewarding role where you’ll play a key part in managing the day to day operation of the Sheltered Housing Service.

You’ll be the central point of contact for residents, families, colleagues, and external partners, making sure support is well‑planned, person‑centred, and delivered to a high standard.

What You’ll Do

•           Manage a large team of Sheltered Housing supervisors, including absence management, performance management, facilitating supervision sessions as well as team meeting sessions.
•           Build positive relationships with residents, ensuring their needs, preferences, and wellbeing are at the heart of every decision.
•           Work closely with Sheltered Housing Colleagues to ensure rotas are efficient and responsive to changing needs.
•           Maintain accurate records, care plans, and documentation in line with organisational and regulatory requirements.
        Ensure the service is managed within budget
•           Liaise with families, health professionals, and partner agencies to support holistic care.
•           Respond to day‑to‑day queries, concerns, and emergencies with calmness and   professionalism.
•           Contribute to continuous improvement and uphold high standards of service delivery.

About You

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

•           Experience working in a care or support environment.
•           Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
•           Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
•           A caring, respectful approach
•           Confidence using digital systems for scheduling, record‑keeping, and communication.
•           The ability to work both independently and as part of a supportive team
        Experience managing staff

Requirements

This post is considered as Regulated Work with Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2020 and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Further details of this scheme can be found here.

Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.
