Job Description

This is a part time post and the salary will be pro-rata to the number of hours worked.

An opportunity has arisen to join our busy team providing administrative support to our residential care homes and day care services.

This is a 25 hour contract working predominately 5 days over 7, however due to the nature of the business this may involve evening and weekend work. This Clerical/Admin Assistant role will have a clear focus on delivering high quality support to our service.

The successful candidate will deliver a wide range of administration functions and will follow West Dunbartonshire Council policies and procedures in order to support the effective day to day running of the service. It is also essential that you have the ability to work as part of a team and on your own initiative, work to deadlines and quality standards and have effective customer service skills as well as being self-motivated and flexible.

Essential requirements for the posts include:-

• Knowledge and understanding of admin processes and procedures

• Understanding of customer focused service

• Excellent IT skills, ability to use MS Word, Excel and database systems

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Excellent organisational skills

• Ability to demonstrate numeracy and accuracy

• Flexibility and adaptability

• Team player

 

Requirements

This post is considered as Regulated Work with Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Further details of this scheme can be found here.

Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.
