Job Description
Work Pattern - Monday - Friday 8.30am - 4.30pm (1 hour unpaid break each day).
West Dunbartonshire Council is introducing the new and exciting post of Food and Nutrition Co-ordinator to our Facilities Management team.
The postholder will be responsible for encouraging healthy eating and improving the uptake of snacks and meals in the Early Years, Primary, Special and Secondary sectors across West Dunbartonshire.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading menu development and implementation, for product sampling, research and costing, for nutritional analysis and for monitoring and reviewing uptake. The postholder will promote and market the range of snacks and meals available to a range of key stakeholders and will be involved in supporting catering staff with service delivery.
The successful candidate must hold a nationally recognised Food Science or Nutrition qualification (degree level desirable) and have experience of menu planning and nutritional analysis. The postholder will require to ensure compliance with national guidelines and legislation associated with School and Early Years catering in Scotland andshould therefore be fully knowledgeable in, and conversant with, such guidance and legislation.
