Job Description

We have a number of positions available for Joiners to join our team.

Building Services deliver both housing and non-housing repairs and refurbishment programmes using multidisciplinary teams of approximately 340 personnel across 3 different depots covering the geographical area of Alexandria, Dumbarton and Clydebank, depot placement can change and is determined by the type of work we do.

You will work as part of a team to repair and refurbish our housing and non-housing properties. You will be required to work flexibly to support site management and officers of the council, to support the efficient service delivery to both internal and external customers. You should be an experienced team member who is able to work as part of a team or on your own initiative and with minimal support and guidance.
The post involves working to tight deadlines, so the candidate must have good time management skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. You should be able to demonstrate excellent organisational and communication skills and have the ability to confidently communicate with both internal and external customers.

You will be expected to work both indoors and outdoors and work at heights while carrying out specific work relevant to your trade and you must be a time-served tradesperson and have documents to support your application. All posts are permanent full time positions and please note there is an ongoing review of role
duties and remuneration.

Please note that successful candidates would be required to participate in our out of hours emergency service if required.
