Job Description

Vacancies have arisen for a permanent Relief Facilities Assistant within the Dumbarton area.

The role of a Relief Facilities Assistant is to work from a base location and as required, support other locations throughout their working week as required for service continuity within schools and offices in the area.

The post holder will be responsible for the day to day operation of Facilities Management Services within various premises as required. There will be a requirement to undertake a combination of duties with a flexible day to day variable need, this will include staff supervision, key holding responsibility, cleaning duties, porterage, food handling and various other duties as detailed in the job profile.

The post holder will require to adhere to Food Safety Systems of Work and Health and Safety legislations and previous experience in this line of work would be an advantage.
The successful candidate should be able to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team.

Post 1:14.25 Hours; Monday-Thursday 4pm-7pm & Friday 4pm-6.15pm; Term-Time; Permanent

Post 2: 14.25 Hours; Monday-Thursday 3pm-6pm & Friday 3pm-5.15pm; Term-Time; Permanent

These are part time and term time posts and the salary will be on a pro-rata basis according to the number of hours/weeks worked per year.

Requirements

This post is considered as Regulated Work with Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Further details of this scheme can be found here.

Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.

Responsibilities
