Job Description

Are you a qualified social worker keen to work with people with a Learning Disability to ensure their support prioritises control, choice and recovery? If so, we want to hear from you! We have 2 x 37 hour vacancies within our Learning Disability Team.

The Role: As a social worker within the Learning Disability Team you will assess, plan, implement and review support packages for adults with a learning disability, their families and carers, with a primary focus on achieving positive outcomes and meeting assessed needs.
What We're Looking For: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to implement Self Directed Support. Be able to embrace new challenges and have a flexible approach to practice.

Requirements
This post is considered as Regulated Work with Adults & Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Further details of this scheme can be found here.
Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.
