About the Role
Are you passionate about helping others and making a positive impact in your community?
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Team Lead to act as the Registered Manager within our Care at Home Service. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements based on the Health and Social Care Standards, which set out what people should expect when using health and social care services.
The registered services include:
• Care at Home
• Sheltered Housing
• Community Alarms
• Reablement
As Team Lead, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of these services, ensuring high-quality, person-centred care is delivered. You will manage staff, budgets, and stakeholder relationships, while driving continuous improvement and supporting strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
• Act as the Registered Manager, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and Health and Social Care Standards
• Lead and manage the delivery of Care at Home services, including Sheltered Housing, Community Alarms, and Reablement
• Recruit, train, and supervise staff, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability
• Monitor service quality and implement improvements to meet performance targets
• Manage budgets, contracts, and resources effectively
• Build strong relationships with service users, families, and professionals to ensure person-centred care
• Support the Integrated Operations Manager in achieving strategic objectives and act up in their role during periods of absence
About You
• Proven experience in managing care services, ideally within a regulated environment
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• In-depth knowledge of Health and Social Care Standards and regulatory requirements
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to manage budgets and resources effectively
• Commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care

What is the work pattern?
• 35 hours per week
• Monday to Friday
• Requirement to join an on call managers rota for escalation purposes
Requirements
This post is considered a Regulated Role with Children and Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2020 and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Further details of this scheme can be found here.
Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.
