Job Description

West Dunbartonshire Leisure Trust is looking to recruit up to four Fitness Attendants to work on a Casual basis at the Meadow Centre and Vale Pool. Duties include delivering inductions on gym equipment, designing fitness programmes, cleaning and housekeeping within the gym area. Candidates require to hold a level 2 gym instructor qualification. 

You will be responsible for the general day to day frontline operation of the leisure fitness facility including supervising and promotion of the Fitness Gym, delivering a programme of Fitness Assessments/Inductions and preparing training programmes for clients.

Key activities:

• Day to day operation of the Health and Fitness Club including delivery of Fitness Assessments and Inductions;

• Prepare and update training programmes for clients;

• Ensure good conduct and discipline amongst centre users ensuring that safe use of equipment guidelines are strictly adhered to;

• Maintain a high level of cleanliness and housekeeping throughout the facility.

Requirements

This post is considered as Regulated Work with Adults and/or Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Further details of this scheme can be found here.

Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.

Responsibilities
