Job Description
As this role is part-time, term-time the salary is pro-rata to the hours worked.
West Dunbartonshire Leisure are looking for an enthusiastic gymnastics coach to help deliver their gymnastics programme for children aged 4 - 15yrs.
Sessions are currently based at Dumbarton Gymnastics Centre and Clydebank Leisure Centre Monday - Friday evening from 4pm.
Candidates should have experience delivering gymnastics and a relevant coaching qualification.
Applications will be considered from those that are unable to commit to the full 14.5hrs.
We are looking for someone who;
* Has proven ability to motivate people/groups
* Has ability to work as part of a team
* Is highly self-motivated, imaginative, enthusiastic and possess good organisational and communication skills.
Please note that the successful candidate must hold a range of National Governing Body of Sport Level 1 qualifications or similar, a recognised first aid qualification and a recognised child protection qualification as this criteria is essential for the role.
The hourly rate for a lead coach starts at £13.76ph.
Requirements
This post is considered as Regulated Work with Adults and/or Children under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 and as such membership with the PVG scheme is essential. Further details of this scheme can be found here.
Preferred applicants will be required to become members of the relevant PVG scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer being made by West Dunbartonshire Council.
Responsibilities
