Blackburn Primary School is looking for a highly motivated Advanced Pupil Support Worker to join our team in our Enhanced Educational Resource Base. Our school is based in Blackburn and has 8 primary classes, 5 mainstream classes and 3 classes within our Enhanced Educational Resource Base.
This is an exciting opportunity for a committed Advanced Pupil Support Worker to be part of a motivated school community, demonstrating a good knowledge of child development to meet the needs of all learners. Working within our Enhanced Educational Resource Base the successful candidate will be part of a team to meet the individual needs of all our pupils, developing strong partnership working and be committed to developing skills to provide interventions and support to all our learners. We are looking for someone to maintain a positive climate for learning and have a commitment to strong collegiality and teamwork.
The successful candidate will work within our school to develop positive and nurturing relationships with all children in our setting, providing high-quality interactions and interventions throughout their practice and supporting the emotional needs of all learners.
This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from the date of commencement of this post to become registered with the SSSC.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.
