Whitdale Primary School and nursery are situated within the village of Whitburn and serves the local area. The nursery setting consists of am, pm and full day learners aged between two and five and is open 50 weeks per year with staff working flexibly across the opening hours. The nursery has spacious learning areas , a garden area, an indoor/outdoor room.

Whitdale Primary School nursery class are seeking to appoint a highly motivated Advanced Pupil Support Worker within our ELC Team. The successful candidate will be part of a forward thinking team and bringing sound knowledge of child development.

The working hours for this position are 16hours  Monday- Thursday 8.30am- 12.30pm, 52.14 weeks per year

This position requires registration with the SSSC.  The successful candidate will have six months from the date of commencement of this post to become registered with the SSSC. 

SSSC stipulate you must submit your application within three months of your start date

This post is considered Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scotland Act 2007. From 28 February 2011 preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.
