Social Policy’s Business Support Service provides support to all operational teams across Community Care, Children & Families and Criminal and Youth Justice enabling front line social work and social care services through the provision of high quality, flexible support at all times.  The Service has principal responsibilities in and across 4 Teams; Finance and Contracts, Performance and Quality, Strategy, Policy & Change and Customer and Communities.  

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Business Support Service, the post will be located within the Contracts & Finance Team with a focus on care at home care matching provision based in St John’s Hospital. The support service facilitates a culture across Social Policy of continuous improvement through service review and design, performance reporting, quality assurance activities and contract management.  Additionally, the post holder will undertake a proactive relationship management approach to engagement with social care providers building and maintaining positive relationships.

The post holder will be able to work from home however there will be some requirement to work within an open plan working environment.

The post holder will report to the Business Support group manager and they will work to deliver key aspects of the social policy and wider West Lothian Health &Social Care Partnership’s strategic and business plans.   The post holder will undertake specific projects tasks within dedicated teams and across the wider business support function to secure current and future service and corporate requirements in line with overall priorities

Ideally candidates will have extensive knowledge of social work and social care services, be computer literate (including experience of using excel and Mosaic), possess excellent communication, interpersonal and report writing skills.
