An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within West Lothian’s Domestic and Sexual Assault Team (DASAT) as a Children and Young Person’s worker.
You will have previous experience of working with children and young people who are experiencing or have experienced domestic abuse and understand the complexities of all forms of trauma and abuse and its impacts on children and young people.
You will have the ability to engage with children, young people and their families in a trauma informed way.
You will have an understanding of the National Practice Model (GIRFEC) as well as the Safe and Together model and the ability to work alongside families to devise tailored 1-1 and groupwork support to children and young people based on their individual needs.
You will have the ability to work as part of a supportive team and to work in partnership with other statutory and third sector organisations, promoting the best interests of children and young people.
You will have a good understanding of, and work from, a feminist analysis of violence against women and girls.
Excellent report writing, IT and communication skills are required.
