Pumpherston and Uphall Station Community Primary School is a non-denominational school serving the communities of Pumpherston and Uphall Station. It is part of the Broxburn Academy School cluster. The school roll is 229 with pupils being organised into eight classes (P1-7) and a 32/32 nursery.

The senior leadership team comprises the Head Teacher and a Principal Teacher. In addition to eight class teachers, there is a team of pupil support workers, a support for learning teacher, non class contact teachers and a PEF teacher. The school office is staffed by an administrative assistant and a clerical assistant.

Pumpherston and Uphall Station Community Primary School is well supported by the Parent Partners and the wider parent forum. The Parent Partners work in close partnership with the school and provides support in identifying areas for improvement. There are supportive partnerships with local community groups.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.  Successful candidates will be required to join the Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check prior to commencing employment and the cost will be met by the candidate.

The fee for a Full PVG Scheme Membership is £59 or Existing Member is £18.
