Low Port Primary School is a non-denominational primary school situated in the centre of Linlithgow, West Lothian. It is part of the Linlithgow Academy High School cluster. The roll of the school is 176, with pupils organised into eight classes, two of which are composites. There is currently no nursery provision at Low Port, so our incoming P1s come from a wide range of council and private nurseries throughout the catchment area.

The school is staffed by a Head Teacher and Depute Head Teacher who both lead Low Port Primary and Springfield Primary as part of a Collaborative Leadership Model. In addition, there is one non-teaching Principal Teacher, and a Principal Teacher who is non-class committed one day a week. There are 9 class teachers (including 1 Probationer Teacher) and a part-time SfL Teacher. Five Pupil Support Workers as well as part time Administrative Assistant and Clerical Assistant who are based in our office. Staff demonstrate strong collegiality, teamwork and commitment to improving outcomes for all learners.

Low Port Primary School has earned a very good reputation within the community and is well supported by the Parent Council and the wider parent forum. The Parent Council works in close partnership with the school and provides support in identifying areas for improvement. There are well developed, supportive partnerships with local groups, businesses, church and a local day care centre.

The school are seeking an enthusiastic Clerical Assistant to join the support team in the school.
