Winchburgh Primary School servicing the growing community of Winchburgh is currently staffed by the Head Teacher, Depute Head Teacher, 2 Acting Principal Teachers and 24 Class Teachers, almost all of whom hold collaborative leadership roles. In the ELC there is an enthusiastic team of ELC practitioners. The school and ELC are supported effectively by a team of Pupil Support Workers, who assist pupils across the school. Admin and clerical support is provided by 1 Administrative Assistants and 1 Clerical Support Assistant. The school runs a very successful Breakfast Club. The school also benefits from a supportive and active Parent Council.

The school are seeking an enthusiastic Clerical Assistant for its busy school office. The successful candidate would be the part of the team providing front line contact for the school including reception duties, helping with pupils, parents and visitor queries.  The job will include general admin duties in accordance with defined guidelines and procedures, data management (assisting with the maintenance of all information kept within the school in accordance with Data Protection requirements, ICT (assist with the implementation of school MIS systems) and other school office duties.

This post is considered Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scotland Act 2007. From 28 February 2011 preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.
