We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Registration Team as a Customer Service Officer/Assistant Registrar.

In this rewarding role, you will play a key part in delivering a professional customer-focused statutory registration service.   Working as part of a dedicated team, you will assist in the registration of births, deaths, marriages and civil partnerships as well as citizenship ceremonies, ensuring all services are delivered accurately, sensitively and in accordance with legislation.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a high level of attention to detail and the ability to remain calm and professional when supporting customers through significant life events.   You will be confident working with sensitive and confidential information, have strong organizational skills and be committed to providing outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the delivery of statutory registration services
  • Providing professional, empathetic and customer-focused support to members of the public
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and procedures
  • Assisting with marriage, civil partnership and citizenship ceremonies
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to deliver an efficient and high quality service
