West Lothian Council Justice Services is establishing a Programmes Team. This specialised team will deliver the UP2U healthy relationships programme, Moving Forward to Change (MF2C) and the Caledonian System. We are looking to recruit 3 part time Justice Assistants to work within the Service and support the implementation of our new Programmes Team. The successful candidates will be expected to facilitate 1:1 and group work delivery with diverse, complex and challenging cases, including violent and sexual offenders. Candidates must meet the essential criteria:
- Significant previous experience of direct client contact in a Health, Social Care, or Justice setting.
- Ability to work constructively with difficult and challenging people using authority appropriately.
- Proven experience of working in partnership with other services.
- Ability to understand and work within legislative and procedural frameworks.
- Ability to communicate to a high standard in written and verbal form.
HNC/SVQ Level 3 in Social Care; HNC/SVQ for Health Support Workers or other relevant qualification at a similar or higher level is desirable.
