You will support the Passenger Transport Manager in ensuring that the council’s passenger transport services are supported to effectively to deliver additional support needs transport, school transport and public transport services to customers, clients and service users and to the residents of West Lothian.

Duties will organising and managing a team of officers, ensuring the safe, efficient and completion of work, whilst meeting stated quality standards, performance indicators and targets.

In depth knowledge of passenger transport issues relating to the provision of specialist and public services and a proven track record of leading and motivating staff is essential.

Essential

• Educated to degree level in relevant discipline or suitable relevant equivalent experience.
• In depth knowledge of passenger transport issues relating to the provision of specialist and public services.
• Proven track record of leading and motivating staff.
• Must be able to communicate at all levels both internally and externally and have good negotiation skills
• Must be numerate, literate, with excellent communication skills
