15 hours per week, 52.14 weeks per year, Fixed Term until 4 January 2027

Bathgate Early Years Centre which is managed by the Headteacher at Balbardie Primary School are seeking to appoint a nurturing and motivated, part time advanced pupil support worker. The setting operates 50 weeks of the year, and the successful candidate will be required to work 9am to 12 noon Monday to Friday (15 hours per week).

The successful candidate will provide enhanced, individualised support to meet the specific needs of children within the setting. They must demonstrate a caring and nurturing approach, alongside a sound understanding of child development. Experience in Additional Support Needs (ASN) strategies would be highly advantageous.

This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from the date of commencement of this post to become registered with the SSSC. SSSC stipulate you must submit your application within three months of your start date. If you are already registered with SSSC you will be required to add West Lothian Council to your account.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.
