Bridgend Primary School and ELC and Winchburgh Primary School and ELC serve the local areas of Bridgend and Winchburgh. Bridgend setting is a term time setting offering places for full day learners aged between two and five. The nursery provides learning areas both inside and outside and has links to the local community.  The setting is open 38 weeks per year. Winchburgh PS nursery class is a 50-week setting offering spaces for am, pm and full day learners, the ELC provides learning both indoors and outdoors and has strong links within the local community. Staff work flexibly on a rota across the opening hours.

At Bridgend and Winchburgh Primary School and ELC, you will become part of the hardworking and committed Nursery teams, we are seeking to appoint a highly motivated Advanced Pupil Support Worker who can provide 1:1 support with some of our learners across the week. The successful candidate will work as part of the forward-thinking teams within Bridgend and Winchburgh ELC, bringing a sound knowledge of child development and additional support needs.

This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from the date of commencement of this post to become registered with the SSSC. SSSC stipulate you must submit your application within three months of your start date. If you are already registered with SSSC you will be required to add West Lothian Council to your account.

This post is considered Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scotland Act 2007. From 28 February 2011 preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.
