Knightsridge Early Years Centre adjacent to Knightsridge Primary School is looking for a highly motivated Advanced Pupil Support Worker to join the team in the nursery. The setting is open 50 weeks per year and staff working flexibly on a rota across the opening hours.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking and reliable individual to join our support team to support learning and teaching in the nursery. The role of Advanced Pupil Support Worker will be to work as part of the early years team, demonstrating a good knowledge of child development and supporting children with additional support needs.
The successful candidate will work with individual children to meet their needs and will develop positive and nurturing relationships with all children in our setting, providing high quality interactions and interventions throughout their practice and supporting the emotional needs of all young learners. Our early years setting is looking for a highly committed practitioner who will develop their skills through training and collaborating with partners, including parents.

This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from the date of commencement of this post to become registered with the SSSC. SSSC stipulate you must submit your application within three months of your start date.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.
