Glenvue Nursery School is situated in the Dedridge area of Livingston and is part of the Dedridge Primary School Campus. The nursery is a stand-alone site within the campus and currently operates on four full days on Monday-Thursday during term time. The ELC has space for 32 children aged 3-5 and space for up to 10 eligible 2-year-olds.
The nursery is mostly open plan, with three outdoor areas which are well used by the nursery, with two free play areas including a wild garden area at the side of the nursery. Staff encourage children to play outdoors often and offer a range of learning and play experiences across the curriculum.
We have a passionate and experienced team at Glenvue ELC and we seeking an enthusatic pupil support work to join the team. As a Pupil Support Worker, you will be responsible for supporting the staff to deliver experiences for learners in the nursery by providing a mixture of pastoral, nurturing and educational roles and supervising/supporting meal times.

This position requires registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC). The successful candidate will have three months from commencement in this post to register with the SSSC and to work towards a relevant qualification within 5 years. If you are already registered with SSSC you will be required to add West Lothian Council to your account.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.
