Pupil Support Worker (ELC) 16 hours per week, 39 weeks per year, fixed term to 31 March 2025

Deans North Nursery is seeking to appoint a highly motivated Pupil Support Worker to work within our ELC team. The successful candidate will work as part of a forward thinking team, bringing a sound knowledge of child development and will respond to the individual needs of each child, offering a caring and nurturing approach while providing high quality interactions and learning experiences.
This post is considered Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scotland Act 2007. From 28 February 2011 preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.
As a result of government regulation, the employment of a Pupil Support Worker in West Lothian Council requires registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
Upon successful appointment as a Pupil Support Worker you will have 6 months to become fully registered with the SSSC. Failure to hold full registration within 6 months of working in West Lothian will result in your immediate removal from your post.
