St Columba’s Nursery is seeking to appoint a nurturing and motivated, full time pupil support worker. The setting operates 50 weeks of the year, staff work flexibly on a rota across the opening hours, where the successful candidate will be required to work 36hrs over the course of the week. 

The successful candidate will bring a sound knowledge of early level play and child development as well as a commitment to support practitioners to deliver high quality learning experiences and interactions whilst effectively working as part of our nursery team to plan, evaluate and report on children’s progress.

This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from the date of commencement of this post to become registered with the SSSC. SSSC stipulate you must submit your application within three months of your start date. This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.
