Torphichen Primary School and nursery class is situated within the village of Torphichen and serves the local area. The nursery consists of full day learners and is open four days a week – Monday to Thursday. The building provides a compact but quality learning area, and benefits from access to a small outdoor and garden area as well as access to a much larger community outdoor space. Torphichen ELC falls under the management of Torphichen Primary School.
Torphichen ELC is seeking to appoint a highly motivated and experienced Pupil Support Worker within our small team.
The successful candidate will work as part of a forward-thinking team, bringing a sound knowledge of child development and will respond to the individual needs of identified children, providing high quality interactions and learning and teaching experiences

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.
This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from the date of commencement of this post to become registered with the SSSC. SSSC stipulate you must submit your application within three months of your start date. If you are already registered with SSSC you will be required to add West Lothian Council to your account.
