The Senior Section Leader will actively participate and assist in the maximising of income due to the council and ensure the integrity, maintenance and development of the systems and procedures which enable the billing and collection processes.

The Senior Section Leader will assist in the management of staff development and training requirements in relation to all areas of legislation, guidance, processes and systems. This will include assisting in the management of the administration and collection of local taxes, service accounts and advanced recovery functions of the service unit in accordance with the relevant legislation and council policies. Ensuring predetermined standards of a high quality, customer focused service is delivered in a cost effective and efficient manner.

The Senior Section Leader will support the Revenues Management Team in ensuring the delivery of a high quality, effective and efficient service in accordance with the relevant legislation and guidance, council policy and standards.

The Senior Section Leader will assist in the delivery of service initiatives, including assisting and providing information for the formulation and implementation of policy and procedures and the specification of relevant IT systems and processes, which will develop the team into a forward thinking customer orientated service
