West Lothian Council is seeking a committed and compassionate Social Care Practitioner to join the night shift team at Limecroft Care Home.
As a keyholder, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, security and wellbeing of residents, staff and the building overnight. Working as part of a dedicated care team, you will provide high-quality person-centred care and support to older people, promoting dignity, independence, choice and respect at all times.

A rotational shift pattern operates for this post, including weekend working.
Essential Qualifications
- SVQ Level III in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
Essential Experience and Skills
- Previous experience working within a care home or social care setting
- Knowledge of person-centred care practices
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, colleagues and external professionals
- Ability to assess, observe and accurately record care information
- Understanding of the values of social care including dignity, privacy, choice and independence
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
Full induction and training will be provided.
This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from the date of commencement of this post to become registered with the SSSC. SSSC stipulate you must submit your application within three months of your start date. If you are already registered with SSSC you will be required to add West Lothian Council to your account.
This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.
