Pathways is a day support service for adults with a Learning Disability that operates across West Lothian Communities, with a base at Quigley House Craigshill Livingston.
The Service supports individuals through, face to face contact to access a range of both community based and building based activities that are meaningful and meet individual outcomes. An exciting opportunity has arisen for two successful applicants to join our staff team on a permanent basis to develop and deliver a stimulating person centered, outcome focused service in line with West Lothian Council and Care Inspectorate guidance, policy & procedure, as well as National Strategies.
You will also require a knowledge of and be able to uphold SSSC value-based practice requirements.

For this post activities, will involve the successful applicant being able working with partner agencies and you will also be responsible for sourcing new and suitable opportunities to meet individual outcomes.
It will be essential for applicants to have had a range of experience working with Adults with a Learning Disability especially in care planning and positive risk taking and it would be desirable to have HNC Social Care or SVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
The posts will be 32 hours per week, working Monday to Friday on a set shift pattern.
You must be able to meet the essential criteria and communicate with a wide variety of people both verbally and in writing as well as have the ability to remain calm when working under pressure and be able to demonstrate good engagement skills with the people you will be working with and demonstrate good organisational skills.
Experience of working with groups and being creative in meeting individual requirements within these, would also be of benefit within this role.
Duties of this post involve Regulated work with Protected Adults as specifies in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) (PVG) Act 2007. Accordingly the preferred candidate will be required to become a member of the PVG scheme or undergo a PVG scheme update if already a member.
