Building Services carry out both housing and non-housing repairs and have a major
5 year capital upgrading programme to deliver.
We have multi -disciplinary teams of over 400 craft operatives and staff as well as employing a number of sub-contractors. We have an annual turnover in excess of £30 million.
The Surveyor role involves working on large- and small-scale refurbishment / repair projects in both housing and non-housing stock throughout West Lothian.
The postholder will assist in the delivery of the Council’s Capital and Revenue programmes including the management of resource, measurement, cost monitoring and control and financial reconciliation for Building Maintenance and Construction works in order to optimise the performance of Building Services within a Best Value cost recovery system.
