An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Team Leader Position within the Learning Disability Day Support Service within the Pathways Service
Pathways is a day support service that utilises a base at Quigley House in Livingston and operates all across West Lothian Communities. Providing a range of meaningful supported activities that meet individuals’ outcomes and level of support requirements. This is done in a sensitive and structured way supporting individuals in group work to build confidence and skills to explore aspirations and goals.
The successful applicant will lead and support the staff team on a full time, permanent basis to develop and deliver a stimulating individual outcome focused service in line with West Lothian Council and Care Inspectorate guidance, policy & procedure, as well as National Strategies.
For this post you will need to have a proven record of managing a team within the sector and experience of supporting adults with a learning disability, ideally within the day support service. Evidence of how you meet the support requirements of individuals and promote meaningful community engagement with experiential opportunities, would be a significant advantage.
It will be essential for applicants to have had experience of working with Adults with a Learning Disability especially in care planning and hold a min of HNC Social Care & SVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
You must be able to meet the essential criteria and communicate with partners both verbally and in writing as well as have the ability to remain calm when working under pressure and be able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills
This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from the date of commencement of this post to become registered with the SSSC.

The successful candidate for this post will be subject to a PVG check
This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.
