We are keen to employ a diverse workforce that reflects the people of Scotland. We welcome applications from all backgrounds and particularly from groups currently under-represented, including people with disabilities, those from minority ethnic communities or from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Team Manager to join our early help phone line service for children, young people and families who have concerns for the mental wellbeing of a child or young person in their household. This is a self-referral service which means that young people and adults can make the call themselves. The age range of children and young people accessing the service is from 5 – 25 (26 if care experienced).

The post holder will supervise a team of four family support workers and will have a central role in ensuring children, young people and their families have timely access to the right support they require.

The role the family support workers within Listen and Link is to create space of children, young people and their families to talk, explore and consider a way forward to help manage the matters that they feel are most impacting on them. The family support workers talk through support and service options with families that are available to assist and will also advice if they feel more intensive support is required.

The work is challenging and fulfilling and the successful applicant will join a motivated and supportive team.

You’ll bring excellent relationship-building, communication, and organisational skills, as well as be able to work on your own initiative and collaboratively with partners.

The postholder should have a diploma/degree in social work or equivalent qualification.

This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.
