As part of our Supported Living services, we provide 24-hour, day-to-day support tailored to each individual’s needs. Our dedicated team works closely with people to promote independence, dignity, and choice, while always ensuring safety and well-being. We focus on enabling people to enjoy meaningful lives, take part in activities they value, and feel included in their communities.

We are seeking caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Female Support Workers to provide dedicated one-to-one support to two individuals with complex health and support needs. This is a meaningful role where you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact each day by delivering consistent, person-centred care.

Martha enjoys many activities and requires support workers who are confident, outgoing and inclusion focused. She also needs sensitive and proactive support, that can respond to her when things get tough. Martha needs help to get used to living with a new housemate and to promote her independence in the home and in her community.

This is an exciting time for Ramona, she is transitioning from her childhood home to her new shared home. Her home has been specifically adapted to ensure it meets her needs and you will support her to get used to living in a new home, living with a new housemate whilst maintaining her usual activities.

About the Role

You will be supporting these individuals to live a fulfilling and meaningful life, with dignity, safety, and respect at the heart of everything you do. Your role will include:

• Providing consistent and adaptable support across all aspects of daily living.

• Encouraging positive behaviour and safe risk-taking through a calm, proactive approach.

• Supporting communication needs with patience, empathy, and creativity.

• Delivering personal care and assistance with moving and handling in a safe and respectful way.

• Working collaboratively as part of a support team to achieve a consistent approach.

• Encouraging and joining in with interests such as music, dance, swimming, reading, social activities, exploring nature, keeping fit/ sports, and enjoying light-hearted TV/films.

• Supporting Ramona and Martha to have a warm, friendly and interactive home.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

• Adaptable, empathetic, and attentive and confident person.

• A good communicator who can respond to both verbal and non-verbal communication.

• Patient, calm under pressure, and able to work positively in challenging situations.

• Fun, friendly, outgoing, with a good sense of humour.

• Proactive and reflective, always keen to learn and improve support.

• Physically able to assist with moving and handling safely.

• We are looking for compassionate staff who place dignity, respect, and person-centred support at the heart of everything they do.

Essential Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in care/support work

• Full UK driving licence (Preferred but not essential)

• Confident with moving and handling practices. (training will be provided)
