Out of School Club Practitioner

2pm-6pm Monday-Friday (20hours per week) Term Time

We are looking for preferably a qualified, motivated, enthusiastic staff member to work in our busy Out Of School Club within our Bothwell setting, however we are happy to take on a person who is willing to study and work towards the required qualification.

• Working in our out of school club will involve looking after school aged children and providing them with stimulating and challenging learning experiences inline with planning and implementing experiences which are child led.
• Helping pick up from the schools in the local area and escorting the children from the school to the club safely int he company vehicle.
• Communicating effectively with children, parents staff and other professionals.
• Confidence to work as part of a team, but also working independently (for example carrying our planning and care plans with your key children).
• Using good initiative within a busy environment to carry out required tasks.
• Be aware of legislation and requirements within an after school club setting
• Work within own time to complete a modern apprenticeship if required and meeting time scales and goals.
• Monitoring and maintaining a healthy, safe and secure working environment for staff and children
• Following the club's policies and procedure
• Undertaking appropriate and relevant training
• Administration and record keeping, including child's records, planning and risk assessments
• Adhering to cleaning duties
